We’re here to help you earn your degree

Central State University, like so many institutions in the Higher Education Community, is dealing with the rapidly evolving situation created by COVID-19 and related changes to its fall plans.

To ensure your educational journey is not interrupted, under the articulation agreements between Central State University and Eastern Gateway Community College, students working toward a degree at Central State University may take the equivalent class for their major at Eastern Gateway Community College.

EGCC classes that will count toward your major at CSU begin August 31 and October 26.  Our Enrollment Specialists are ready to help you with this and put you on the path to your degree program.

Student Options:

Both Central State University and Eastern Gateway Community College are education partners in the Free College program.  As public, accredited institutions in the University System of Ohio, the colleges have established articulation agreements regarding the transfer of credit and course equivalencies.

Students may enroll in the EGCC course equivalents to CSU, which will allow the student the most expedited path to earning their Bachelor’s Degree.  EGCC cannot confer the Bachelor’s Degree, but students can earn credits that will count toward their Bachelor’s Degree.  CSU requires that 18 credits be earned from CSU in order to earn the Bachelor’s Degree. Students must earn a 2.2 or better in the course(s) in order for it to transfer.

CSU enrollment for the January 19 courses will open in October.  Students may choose to wait for those courses.
